Day 128 - Card Recipe

you guessed it... another 365 Cards challenge. using a prescribed recipe is often hard - sticking to just a few ingredients can be so limiting! but tonight i just grabbed some great patterned paper and voila, i had it done! it's weird that i've made this card already tonight because the new 365 posts happen at midnight eastern time, which is only 9pm for me! i set this to upload at midnight my time, so i won't be able to add my URL to their site until the morning... oh well! not as high up on the list as i'd like, but what are you gonna do? take it easy all!

ps. hey, i just discovered a great place to win some blog candy... check out Addicted to Paper's blog and enter to win by leaving a comment by july 15th. easy peasy! and i'm telling you, there's a huge pile of stuff to win! i almost don't want to share the news - it lessens my chances! hehehe!

you can also enter to win a set of copic markers here, at the "Stampin' Up! My Way" blog. that would be fab, cuz i don't own a single copic!

Sweet Baby Girl

my friend just had a baby last week, and i've been meaning to make a card and get it in the mail. today's challenge on 365 Cards for day 113 - Super Sketchy Sunday for some reason inspired me to make it into a baby card. i'm not sure what it was about it that inspired this... but thank goodness it did!

the clouds are rolling away this afternoon and it's looking fairly sunny out. from the way it was this morning i was sure it would pour rain all day. looks like i should get out there and take a walk on the dyke. we have a great walking/biking trail that leads along the water for many kilometres and there's so much to see there! there is a heritage farm, a beach, a dock where swans swim around... it's wonderful! gonna have some lunch and head out there. enjoy your day!
